Oxo Frying Pan Skillet Review
I am the kind of person who gets excited about kitchenware. That being said, for a skillet to truly wow me, it must be extraordinary. And, guess what? The OXO Good Grips Nonstick 12-Inch Pro Skillet is something that amazed me.
It’s a dream to cook in and clean.
If you’ve ever used a nonstick skillet that only stays nonstick for about a week before scrambled eggs start to adhere to its surface, utterly undermining the pan’s function, you understand how aggravating that is. OXO’s skillet is the complete opposite. Nothing adheres to its resilient nonstick surface. And because nothing sticks, it’s simple to clean. I’ve been using mine for a while, and it’s long past the point where other pans would fail me.
Its sides also gradually slope inward, allowing you plenty of usable cooking space. And its walls are high enough to keep food while remaining low enough to allow you to effortlessly extract crisp-skinned salmon fillets, cheese-filled omelets, and lacy crêpes. It is also oven safe up to 430°F.
It’s perfectly designed
The OXO Good Grips Non-Stick 12-Inch Pro Skillet is one of the lightest nonstick pans I’ve ever used, at under 2.5 pounds. A light nonstick skillet that I can handle with one hand is essential for smoothly swirling batter across the pan’s surface and raising it up to slide omelets out. It also features a smooth, comfortable circular grip with no harsh angles or edges. So it’s quite comfortable to hold.
While I believe the 12-inch skillet is ideal for dishes that serve four, it is also available in 10- and 8-inch sizes for individuals who need a smaller pan.
Other pros and home cooks love it too
I’m not the only one that enjoys this frying pan. It’s also America’s Test Kitchen’s best nonstick skillet option! It also gets extremely positive reviews on Amazon, with 86 percent of the 6,000-plus reviews being five stars.
